The Karavasta solar project was awarded to Voltalia in accordance with Decision no. 349, dated June 12, 2018, of the Albanian Council of Ministers and the competition procedure launched by the Ministry of Infrastructures and Energy on January 21, 2020 with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development – EBRD.
The project consists of a grid-connected solar photovoltaic plant with an installed capacity of 140 MW. Voltalia is responsible for its design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance.
