The Mana storage plant is the leading French site in terms of electricity storage capacity.
Voltalia's local presence and multi-energy expertise have made it possible to develop and commission a battery storage plant. Storage improves the level of predictability and stability of electricity production from solar, wind or hydro energy.
Mana Storage will help improve the performance of Guyana's electricity system while reducing fossil fuel consumption by reducing the start-up of diesel plants at peak hours.
A lease was signed with the municipality of Mana to allow for the construction, operation and, ultimately, dismantling of the plant.
