Energy sales
As an Independent Power Producer, in 2023 Voltalia produced and sold 4.3 TWh of renewable energy around the world, up by +18% (vs. 2022), equivalent to the electricity consumption of 5.5 million people. We monetize our production through feed-in tariffs, tender-defined prices, wholesale market sales and final customer sales through Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (CPPA).
Power Purchase Agreements (PPA)
The total capacity secured during 2023 was 4.1 gigawatts, reflecting the geographical diversification announced in 2019 with 46% in Europe, 43% in Latin America and 11% in Africa.
Companies that consume green electricity through Corporate PPAs represented more than 40% of our 2024 half-year client base.
