Designed and installed by Martifer Solar, now owned by Voltalia, the Caltagirone plant is one of the largest thin film plants in Italy.
The covered area totals approximately 547,500 square meters. The actual area used for the plant is 38 ha, while the rest is used for environmental mitigations.
The plant can produce enough clean energy to meet the needs of around 4,800 families.
